Secure Ordering

For safe and secure ordering, all credit card transactions take place in a secure (SSL) environment. Verisign is used as our credit card security company. Your security is important to us, and we have implemented many checks to combat fraudulent card users. We will spend extra effort to report unlawful transactions to authorities, and will tenaciously follow-up on any activities that adversely affect our customers or our business.

How to Buy a Clock:

Use any major credit card:
1)  Decide which clock you like the best and click the link that takes you to the order page.
2)  On the order page, if you want to add another clock model to your order, click Add More Items
3)  Insert: The number of clocks you want in the Qty box.
4)  Choose: Shipping To: United States  Make sure you specify United States
5)  Click: Pay and Finish
6)  Click: Secure or Standard Check-out
7)  Follow the instructions: Click Submit this order
8)  You will receive a confirmation e-mail shortly after you place your order.

If you are ordering more than one clock, and want them shipped to different addresses as gifts, order the clocks, and e-mail the shipping information to me at: orders@clockplace.com We will take care of you. 

Your phone number and valid e-mail address are necessary in case we need to contact you regarding your order, and to receive shipping confirmation from FedEx.

You may use any major credit card. Your card will be charged upon receipt of your order. Charges on your statement will appear as billed from CCNow, not Adriano Design or Clockplace.

Pay by check:
1)  Do not add any shipping or sales tax to the amount of your check.

When you purchase with a Money Order or Cashier's Check, your order will be filled and shipped immediately. 

Shipping Time:  We use FedEx for shipping.  Regardless of which method you use to purchase your clock, it usually takes one business day to process your order. In-stock items will be shipped within 2 days, if not sooner. Generally, our customers will receive their order items within 5 working days. If the item(s) you ordered have been previously sold, or are out of stock, you will be notified by telephone or e-mail.

Fraud Protection

We have contracted with CCNow to use several type of fraud protection to protect our clients:

  • We use AVS (Address Verification Service) on all U.S. orders. CCNow requires that the billing address specified must match the address on file with the customer's credit card company.
  • Our system sends orders to clients only after the credit card company has reported a successful charge to the customer's account. 
  • We maintain a "negative file" of customers who have committed fraud or caused product return problems for our clients in the past. These customers cannot make a purchase from any CCNow client until they pay for the products that were ordered.
  • By dealing only with sales of tangible merchandise (physical products that must be shipped to customers), we avoid the type of sales which are most vulnerable to credit-card fraud. If a customer needs to specify a correct physical address (to receive shipped goods), then he is much less likely to use a stolen credit card to place the order.

Shipping          

 All packages are shipped Free of charge via FedEx.      

  • The shipping of orders is subject to product availability.
  • You may ship to an address other than your billing address, but all billing addresses are verified. We do not ship to P.O. boxes, military addresses, or addresses out of the continental United States.

Shipments over $500 must be signed for by the addressee.

Returns and Guarantee  

     If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with the merchandise you ordered from Clockplace please send it back for a full refund (minus return shipping back to us) within 30 days of your receipt. If your item is damaged or broken, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will replace it or arrange for it's return.

To return merchandise, please use the following instructions: If you need to return a purchase, it must be undamaged and in the same condition we originally shipped it to you. It must be returned in its original packing material to ensure safe shipment.

1.   The returned merchandise should be undamaged. Clockplace reserves the right to evaluate the condition of returned merchandise.
2.   Please call 1-800-886-1023 or e-mail us at returns@clockplace.com to notify us and get a return authorization number.
3.   Pack the merchandise with the original packing material and include the return form in the box. Address the package using the return address label included with your original shipment.
4.   The cost of returning unwanted purchases is the customer's responsibility. Clockplace will only accept packages with shipping charges prepaid. The customer must be able to provide shipping/delivery confirmation, so the return can be traced while it is in transit.
5.   Returns should be insured for its full value with the shipping company. This protects you in case the timepiece is damaged or lost in transit.
6.   After receipt of the returned undamaged, and unused merchandise, a full refund of the purchase price will be credited to the credit card account used to place the order. A check will be issued if the purchase was made by personal check or money order. Please allow two to three weeks for processing the refund.

Privacy Policy

     Clockplace uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt and protect your personal data. 

     We need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number. If you are ordering by credit card we will need your credit card number and expiration date. This information is necessary to process your order.

We are consumers too, and we understand that maintaining privacy is important. These are our guidelines:

  • Clockplace will handle your personal information in a responsible and secure manner.
  • Your contact data will not be given, traded, sold or rented to any third party. It will be used only for internal purposes, and by Clockplace to keep you informed of new inventory, offers and information relating to our site and Clockplace affiliates.
  • If you do not wish receive e-mails from Clockplace (we hope you do, however), please inform us, and we will remove you from our database.
  • We never see your credit card information. That information is handled by CCNow, our credit card service provider. 

   We are not responsible the privacy policies or content of sites that we are linked to.

CCNow - Our Credit Card and Retail Service Provider 

We have contracted with CCNow, a credit card service and retail merchant located in Delaware. Your credit card will be billed by CCNow, not Clockplace or Adriano Design.  All orders will be shipped from California by Adriano Design.

We use CCNow for a number of reasons:

  • They are an established retail credit card service with an excellent track record, that is also a  member of the Better Business Bureau. To check their business practices, call the BBB in Newcastle County, Delaware Chapter.
  • By using CCNow, Adriano Design can accept all major credit cards. All transactions are take place on their secure servers, assuring you the highest security available today. They use Verisign as their credit card security company.

  • You will not pay sales tax on any credit card order.

No Sales Tax on Credit Card Purchases at Clockplace

Any order that is placed with CCNow (the credit card authorization company used by Clockplace) carries no U.S. sales tax because CCNow is located in Delaware. CCNow acts as a retail reseller of our products. Even though Clockplace does the order fulfillment, CCNow processes the credit card orders. The transaction takes place in Delaware, where there is no state sales tax. 

U.S. sales tax is only collected when the customer is located in the same state as the retail merchant. This means that any CCNow customer who is outside of Delaware will not owe sales tax. Any customer who happens to be located in Delaware would not owe sales tax either, because Delaware has no sales tax.

Please keep in mind that this applies only to customers who place their order with CCNow using a credit card. If a customer pays by check or money order, and that customer lives in California, then we must collect sales tax from that customer. In that case, Adriano Design will pay your sales tax.
