The Metropolis Desk Clock is original cast bronze art; available in two attractive decorator finishes:

Natural (sealed) Bronze -  Natural bronze is the color most people think of when they visualize bronze art - it is a rich golden color. The warmth and character of this bronze clock will grace any decor. It has a substantial weight, and is attractive from all angles, especially from the back. Bronze is the most popular of all high-end art metals and carries a status higher than pewter, brass, or aluminum. It is the metal used by major artists for centuries. 

The sealer we apply to this clock is totally transparent, and effectively stops the aging process. Click here to read about the special finish on our natural bronze clocks. Your clock needs virtually no maintenance and won't age like other bronze sculptural art. 

Platinum Bronze - This color has a coolness that really contrasts the gold clock bezel, and the metallic sheen gives it the most "Art-Deco" look of all the clocks. The slight texture gives it a "feel" that is different from the others. It will invite you to touch it often. Only our finest bronze castings are used for this model. It has been plated with a proprietary process that gives it the platinum color that is so eye- catching. It will not tarnish or change in color.

High Quality Clock Movements 
The clock works are among the finest precision quartz-movements available. The 2-inch clock face is solid brass and gold-plated, with a mineral glass lens. The case has a Stainless Steel back, and contains a battery that will run for 2 years before needing to be replaced. When your battery wears out, e-mail us, and we'll send you a replacement.

We could save money and offer plastic clock inserts that cost less than half as much. Compare these to others, and you can see the difference. The glass lens reflects the light like a smooth mirror, and it won't scratch nearly as easily. The brass bezel takes a better gold plate than plastic, and it's not wavy. Most importantly, the white clock face is smooth and looks like fine porcelain, not like painted plastic. Our clock movements are the best available in this price range.

Cushioned Base
The base of all the Metropolis Desk Clocks is protected with a special charcoal-colored, closed cell rubber. The special padding is an improvement over felt, that looks cleaner, and is more protective of fine-finished surfaces.
